Unlike us humans calves are born without a distinctive immune system. That’s why they need to receive Colostrum after birth to build up an immune system and to be able to fight bacterial and viral infections. In the first instance Colostrum is for new-born calves only and only the Colostrum surplus is used for the production of Colpur®. This surplus we owe to nature, because it plans that every mother cow gives more Colostrum than her calf could drink.
